South Side Saloon– Small unassuming wooden hole in the wall with good beer. The Office Saloon– Dark, wood, chill….just the way I like my bars. The Marquis Lounge– A bit more upbeat then a typical dive bar, but it can still be considered a dive bar. The Green Briar– Sorta loud for a dive bar, what with karaoke night, but always fun when drinking! Great jukebox, cheap beer, occasional dart and pool tournaments. The Skydive Lounge– A nice little hole in the wall kinda place. Very popular with Riverside dive bar fans. The Sire– Dark atmosphere, cheap drinks, and great food, unusual for a dive bar. Private side entrance at night when the antique shop (Mission Galleria) closes. The ambiance is is pretty cool with a fake tree in the middle of the bar and a couple of pool tables. Cute cafe during the day, turned small bar with cheap beer and jello shots at night. The Hideaway– Kind of a weird place, on the bottom floor of an antique shop. Morgans Tavern– A fun, more upbeat vibe with great events. But great drinks with a jeans and tee-shirt kinda vibe. Lake Alice Saloon– A bit loud at times, not entirely a dive bar….more of a sports bar. If gritty is what you like, this is the place! I have a friend who says there’s few beer choices and seems pretty gritty. Horseshoe Lounge– A biker bar with mixed reviews. My advice, pull up a bar stool and become a regular. Some find it a little too “Locals only”, but most dive bars are that way. Decent beer list for a dive bar, and right in the middle of a dusty dirt parking lot which just adds to the “dive bar charm”. A bunch of locals and random people stopping for cheap beer on the way home from work. Small place with a couple of pool tables and beat up bar stools. I had no idea that was th e actual name of the place until I asked an extremely good looking bartender. The Stop In– They have a sign at the top of the small building that says “Stop In”….so I did.
